I’m not sure what’s going on in this pathology lab but they made me pay for a blood test that upon checking with my GP is fully covered by Medicare. They also asked me to come back days later to drop a sample when my GP told me all the tests requested were conducted. I won’t come back
Have been to Bridge St Clinic Port Melbourne several times (annually) to give blood for aviation medical. Each time has been painless with short waiting time and very friendly staff
Very disappointed with my visit. The receptionist was rude and dismissive while greeting others politely — felt singled out. Waited over 30 minutes for a blood test after being told only 3 people ahead, then saw someone who arrived after me go in first. Won’t be returning.
The positives are that the two times I have been here there were short wait times, and the lady taking my blood was very kind (the same person both times). However, both times the experience of the needle going in was far more painful than I’m used to. Afterwards I noticed that instead of a small hole in my arm like there usually is, there was a long cut in my arm that stung and was painful.
