I am a 58 yo female and have to have frequent blood tests prior to oncologist appointments and ongoing treatments. Nurses and pathologists usually find taking samples tricky, and often have more than one attempt to successfully insert needle into vein to draw blood. Today, and last month, I was very fortunate to have Andrea at Mt Martha Dorevitch take my blood. Both times she succeeded on the first attempt. It did not hurt. Unfortunately don't have two nurses available during peak demand, ie when fasting tests required first thing in the morning. However, 2 nurses are available mid to late morning when demand is low. Their questionnaire doesn't provide for feedback to this degree, so frustrating waits are the norm for tests required early morning.
Hats off to Robyn, for negotiating the new digital system for the first time… & I didn’t feel a thing! Well done!
