I waited for an hour and a half for a fasting blood sugar test. I walked away without being seen as my window of 8-10 hour of fasting expired while in the waiting room. In that time, one single patient has been called in. No one was there to explain what was happening. Patience were all confused! I had to walk away after fasting for my test and taking time off work! Appalling really!
Dorevitch Pathology located within the St Kilda Road Medical Centre is convenient. Sylvia is thorough, has a bit of electronic admin to perform before drawing blood, however she is always kind, friendly and efficient.
The nurse here is absolutely lovely and caring, but the overall experience is impacted by very long waiting times and the attitude of one of the receptionists. I have visited this clinic several times, and the wait has consistently been much longer than at other pathology centres. On one occasion, after waiting over 40 minutes with no movement in the queue, I asked a simple question — whether the pathology was open — and the receptionist’s only response was, “the nurse must be busy.” I wasn’t complaining, just seeking clarif... read more
Friendly staff and professional nurse. Only issue is it can be a bit slow as just one nurse do the tests, I always get there before they open so I don't have to wait long
