I was a patient of Dr. Blake for over 15 years. Initially I was not going to write a review because I have been with my current primary care doctor (who is PHENOMENAL) for a few years now. After reading several of the negative reviews, I must concur with the experiences of some of the former patients. Lack of effective communication and management is what hinders this office from being great. As much as I hate to say it, it is abundantly clear that this has impacted this business, as I have been coming here (on and off) for the past 20 years. And the bad part is that these things are happening (at times) before a patient is even able to see Dr. Blake. That said, I have had little to no problems with Dr. Blake as a doctor. I would never in my life believed that I would experience from another black woman until today. My visit today was the most traumatizing event EVER! I won't go into the details because this is a public forum but I will be reporting her today. Do NOT visit this woman or you'll regret it like I WONT TO LEAVE NO STARS AND 5 FOR HER ASSISTANT. Well it appears that this establishment has the ability to BLOCK your reviews. But there is Always a way around that! If you are male, STAY AWAY FROM HER!! I was one of Doreen Blakes patients. Im dead now (5/25/23) and I was only 60. Because of her lack of knowledge and her snide, snippet ways she failed me. I had cancer, she did not know the signs, told me all sorts or crazy things, such as I was bumping into things that's why I had bruises all over my body, even accused me of being a drinker!! Terrible Doctor! First, I had to wait a long time for her to be available for me to schedule an appointment in her schedule & then when I did come for my appointment I came on time and still had to wait 30 minutes or so. Then when I was being seen by her she refused to prescribe & give me the medication I needed to treat myself even after being diagnosed & telling her how I wanted to handle it.
