We were told by a contractor that our front door would need to be refurbished soon or else we would need to change the entire door frame, which would cost us a lot of money. John did an incredible job restoring our wooden shutter-style front door. He scraped off more than 60 years of paint, sanded, painted, repaired and replaced the hardware. Our door looks and works like new. He was easy to work and communicate with and takes pride in his craftsmanship. Because this door is critical to the esthetic of house and this style is no longer on the market, we would have had to buy a new door without John. I am grateful to John and I give him my highest recommendation

We hired John to refurbish two sets of painted double doors in our breezeway. These doors probably hadn't been used in decades and were in rough shape. Through a lot of trial and error, we finally figured out how to make them operational. We have two, 6-panel, metal, foam filled, front doors. They were repainted 3 times since we built our house 30 years ago. When it turned to -2 this past winter the paint cracked and pealed everywhere. They looked like a dried up lake beds. I called numerous places and no one could tell me the cause except John.
