I live near by. My 2 year old had a fall. Pulled out his elbow. Carried him inside, profusely crying. Whole place can hear it. Clearly child is in severe pain, needs urgent medication attention. Receptionist turns me away - said dr can't see him it's too close to closing time. Didn't notify dr either of emergency. Made the decision herself. Pissed me off so bad. The doctors and nurses at Doonside Medical Centre are knowledgeable and provide good care when you finally get to see them. However, the wait times are consistently very long, even with a booked appointment. On my last visit, I waited over an hour past my scheduled time. The quality of care is solid, but you really need to set aside a big chunk of your day to be seen.
I’ve been seeing dr john on for about 6/7 years now and his just an amazing person to have as a doctor he listens to all my concerns then he finds a perfect solution and shoutout to all the receptionist ladies there they are all just wonderful people glad to see a very culturally diverse community at this place
Doonside Medical Centre is very convenient and easy to deal with. I want to especially mention Fatima at the front reception. She was calm, patient and very helpful throughout my visit. She organised and scheduled my doctor’s appointment for my medical assessment without any stress. She’s really good at her job and made the whole experience pleasant.
