Don't trust these people. I brought them my girlfriend's car after a minor accident. We were given their name by progressive insurance since we were new to northern Michigan. We weren't able to get the car looked at for two weeks after the minor accident and we weren't worried about anything other then a headlight replacement and front fender cover. Unbelievable job by Gerber. I do not know the names of the actual body team, as they deserve the bulk of the credit, but Caleb, the estimator, was super easy to work with and very measured. My Honda Cr-z ( not CR-V) is a semi- rate hybrid and a manual. I love my car! Insurance wanted to declare it a total loss. Finding another manual Cr-z would have been a huge pain. I am very disappointed with my experience at Gerber Collision. My daughter hit a deer and when she went in for an estimate their assessment of my vehicle was inaccurate, they claimed there was âpaint transferâ and damage not caused by a deer. After inspecting the car myself, I can say with certainty that the white substance on the front is not foreign paint at all, but the carâs own clear coat delaminating from the impact. Front end collision on my 2022 Honda Accord. It looks brand new. Gerber was able to fix way before any other companies in town. Kelly communicated every Tuesday and Thursday. I always knew where my car was in the process. Amazing Service.Â
Do to unfortunate circumstances I found that someone hit me while I was in a store. Needless to say my car is not even 6 months old and I was totally upset. It had been recommended to check this location out, let me tell you, I am beyond grateful and totally impressed by the customer service and outstanding workmanship Eduardo Montes put into my experience with this establishment. Over the past 20 ish years, Don's has done 2 repairs (re-construct) for me and both times I was extremely pleased. Almost felt bad that I didn't have more work for him. ALMOST! ( I don't like to smack them up ). Now I'm back and sincerely hope that the new crew will live up to Don's reputation.Â
This is my second review. In October I had a car accident, my car was repaired, getting to that point was a nightmare. Of course I had to take it back due to a lose part that wasn't put on correctly. But the reason for my new review is the fact that my car has been repaired since December 1, 2023 and to this day (02/14/2024) the insurance has not received the invoice therefore can't close out my file with the diminshed value claim.
