Donovan Park gets 5 stars for its design, variety of play options, cleanliness, and materials used. The soft wood chips are a nice ground cover. The grounds are very well-maintained. There are recycle and trash bins conveniently placed. The adjacent big kids/little kids areas allow little ones to be in a quieter, less rambunctious environment while still allowing a parent to monitor the older ones in their area. I work at Footers Catering, and on behalf of the entire Footers Family, we love working at Donovan Pavilion! It is warm, rustically elegant, and is an absolutely beautiful mountain venue! The deck outside lends itself perfectly to a ceremony or cocktail hour and the space inside is spacious and versatile. Mindy and her team are caring, organized, and always take excellent care of our clients!
Our son had his wedding here a month ago. It was a beautiful venue and setting. We left the place Immaculate before we left that evening at 11pm. The reason for the 1 star is they did not return his $500 deposit claiming damage to the floor and a small dirt stain on a raggedy entry carpet that we offered to vacuum up ourselves if necessary. We don't even know if this dirt was from our party!!! And As if the $5500 rent for the place for 5 hours wasn't enough! We took photos and got the run around. If you have the time to organize and plan bringing everything in, this venue is worth it! It is incredibly beautiful and spacious. Mindy is also wonderful to work with. We loved having our wedding at this amazing venue!
