Where to start. It all began with Robert and Melissa. Robert informed us of the process, helped us pick a home design, explained the process in detail and gave recommendations on banks to help assist us through the process. Melissa assisted us along the way with permits and other related matters. Monty came in and fine tuned or home design, which was exactly what we were looking for. Donaway homes was super amazing from day one of planning to handing the keys over. The personal dedication and personal availability of all members of the Donaway family far surpassed my expectations. Not one major glitch in anything from start to finish. My home is absolutely beautiful, amazing and inviting. If you ever need a home built, please do your diligence and at least sit and talk with this local hometown business. They all are AMAZING!
Researching building a home on my own lot. They seem to have good ideas and focused on quality and cost. Very good interaction.
The quality of the interior of the home is fair, however I've had siding issues since day one where it would come loose and fall off the house. However my biggest complaint is the fireplace, which stopped working after 6 months. This occurred during the "warranty" period. I had numerous calls with Melissa and Jamie where they blamed the propane company for the logs being installed wrong. I paid 4K originally for the fireplace through Donaway and ultimately ended up paying 14K for an outside company to remove and replace the ... read more
Just had my follow up with Donaway Homes after being in our house for a year. I cannot recommend and thank everyone at Donaway enough! The whole process beginning to now was seamless and despite troubles with the county I live in, Donaway did everything they could and always kept us up to date. We have a beautiful home that we love and will always cherish! 10/10 Special thanks to Robert, Melissa, and Monty!!
