The quality of the interior of the home is fair, however I've had siding issues since day one where it would come loose and fall off the house. However my biggest complaint is the fireplace, which stopped working after 6 months. This occurred during the "warranty" period. I had numerous calls with Melissa and Jamie where they blamed the propane company for the logs being installed wrong. I paid 4K originally for the fireplace through Donaway and ultimately ended up paying 14K for an outside company to remove and replace the ... read more
Just had my follow up with Donaway Homes after being in our house for a year. I cannot recommend and thank everyone at Donaway enough! The whole process beginning to now was seamless and despite troubles with the county I live in, Donaway did everything they could and always kept us up to date. I was stressing over finding a builder. Donaway Homes was recommended to us by friends who used them to build in Selbyville. It turned out to be a great experience for us, too, in Lewes! We just finished a house build in Lewes DE with Donaway Homes. This has been the best experience I've had with building a home. I've been through four home builds. The staff in their sales office are knowledgeable and on top of everything. From walking us through the process to laying out our house the way we wanted Robert, Melissa and Monty were more of a partner than just a company we were working with. We have been in our Donaway Home for a little over a year now. We relocated to Maryland from 450 miles away. We immediately felt comfortable after meeting with the Donaway team. The building process went extremely smooth. Not being local to the area, communication was key. It was always very easy whether it was a phone call, text message or email.
