Do not waste your money. I should have listened to that same advie but decided since i knew Donaldson personally that things would be different and they were nit different at all. Donaldson is poor at communicating, never provided documents upon request, misinformed his client several times and it was like pulling teeth to get him to visit BCP. Someone very close to me had this loser as his court appointed public defender and he did NOTHING to prepare any type of defense for him. Absolutely nothing. I hired another lawyer to represent him at his sentencing and hopefully we’ll have a better result and at the very least, a fair sentence. His new lawyer said that Donaldson did nothing. If this guy is your lawyer, God help you. You’d be better off being represented by the town drunk.
If you're looking for a public defender, you can get those for free. Don't pay this "attorney" several thousand dollars and expect him to be anywhere close to helpful. He'll ghost you like a cheap tinder date and stand you up whenever you need to meet or go to court. Instead of having this attorney represent you for whatever reason, reconsider. I have a 2-year old German shepherd that would help you more than this clown.
