Do not waste your money. I should have listened to that same advie but decided since i knew Donaldson personally that things would be different and they were nit different at all. Donaldson is poor at communicating, never provided documents upon request, misinformed his client several times and it was like pulling teeth to get him to visit BCP. Absolute worst attorney I've ever delt with. Paid $5K for him to represent me, and he kept a continuous going for nearly two years. Promised the world didn't deliver. Claimed to have years of experience but wouldn't return phone calls, emails, and never in his office. Went to plea guilty, and he kept informing me that I wouldn't be taken in, and then disappeared from the court room only to return 30 minutes later with the prosecutor and told me and I qoute, "apparently the law changed in September that I didn't know about. Someone very close to me had this loser as his court appointed public defender and he did NOTHING to prepare any type of defense for him. Absolutely nothing. I hired another lawyer to represent him at his sentencing and hopefully we’ll have a better result and at the very least, a fair sentence. His new lawyer said that Donaldson did nothing. If this guy is your lawyer, God help you. You’d be better off being represented by the town drunk.
