I resolved nothing after three visits with this provider; essentially he refused to treat me or hear me out; indicative of that was the fact he did not even bring the lab he ordered to our last meeting. It was absolutely degrading to have to take off work, think I am going to heal/be taken care of by a professional, to only have him tell me that I don't deserve his attention to detail. Just about every specialist told me go to Infectious Disease; seems Dr Poretz just wants to not treat me.
I first met Dr Poretz in late Dec 2002. He looked at me and told me he knew what was wrong with me. He ordered bloodwork and a chest X-Ray. The next day he confirmed my diagnosis and told me “I would get through this and had to believe it” Almost 22 years later I am now 71 and that illness is fully under control albeit I have numerous other age and smoking related health issues. This is Debra Johnson, my son and I were very happy with Dr Poretz, he is making sure that Tony who was very sick in the hospital, is now doing very well and Dr Poretz is making sure by checking his blood work. Dr P. answered all our questions and made us feel more calm about what he had experienced. Tony is doing much better. God bless Dr Poretz. Thanks for your knowledge and kindness.
