I would never recommend Heller to anyone. If you aren't famous or extremely wealthy he will treat you like garbage.

Donald conducted a poor trial and was extremely arrogant. He was over confident about his ability to win and I paid the price. We had all the resources money could buy but he assured us he knew what he was doing. He lost the trial and was a jerk afterward. I wish we had retained a better trial lawyer like Eric Hintz or Bill Portanova in Sacramento who I later found out were far better lawyers overall. Dont make my mistake by letting Don smooth talk you with his non sense and overinflated ego.

Don Heller is a passionate attorney, one of the best in the business. He is an excellent mix of highly skillful representative ability, ethical and thoughtful in his approach, with a down to earth personality that is very much in touch with basic humanity. I am grateful to have a had such a wonderful attorney.

Don represented me in a very winnable case where I was involved in making a citizen's arrest of a hit and run driver who then became assaultive but because of lies told at the scene I was charged with felonies. Don did little to no investigation. He had access to CSI photos which showed me with injuries from the hit and run driver's assault on me but failed to utilize them. I had a team of attorneys for my complex case. Had I used only Don I would have had a better outcome. He's highly intelligent and knows what he's doing.
