Dr. Prouty had been my family Dr. He was the first person to ever touch me as I entered the world. Early 2000's I was Prescribed Xanax for anxiety. I come in for my usual check up and Dana Carter Came out and told me I was no longer welcome. No reason was given, Just get out. My mom has extreme aortic valve stenosis and the cardiologist said it was the worst murmur he ever heard. She is sent for urgent valve replacement. Dr. Prouty has been my moms Primary physician for a long long time. She was just in his office about 1.5 months ago and he said, " still have your heart murmur, but everything sounds good otherwise". Great doctor! He delivered me when I was born back in 92. 30+ years later and I'm still seeing him. A little quiet some times, but has an excellent sense of what's going on. Love the choice of music in the waiting room as well. Great doctor
Staff is very rude and acts bothered doing their job. They are very unfriendly and are very cold and clinical. Patients are people too and don’t deserve the hostility from his staff. They are there for a paycheck not patients! Every visit mistakes were made. Rx not being sent or are sent to the wrong pharmacy. All referrals were sent primarily to Saginaw despite being told Mt Pleasant. This is almost every time and when I call to ask to send it to the pharmacy on file his receptionist gets very rude. Very professional and knows what he is doing. He's not like this new breed of doctors that are just looking for money. He has many years of experience. His bed side manners are very good. He cares about people. I would recommend him.
