Read not good reviews and considered rescheduling with another Dr. Glad i didn't, Dr. Wender is very knowledgeable and to the point. He took the time to answer all my questions and volunteered information. Dr. Wender is a cut & dry Dr. He does not candy coat. My preference for a Dr., i want the truth and the facts. Dr. Wender does this, i left his office knowing what i need to know and what the plan is. Highly recomend him and greatly appriciate his cut & dry manner!
It's too painful to write a lengthy review about how awful Dr. Wender is. I cannot recommend more strongly that anyone with cancer see anyone else besides him. His license should be revoked. He has absolutely no business treating vulnerable people dealing with cancer. I wonder how he sleeps at night knowing how he treats people. I've seriously considered reporting him to the Iowa Board of Medicine. It's not merely that he has absolutely no bedside manner; he actually causes harm.
Dr. Wender has a poor bedside manor and has no regard for his patients feelings. My mother is non-verbal and he treated her like a vegetable and basically told us that treating her cancer wasn't worth it. He also answered his cell phone to take what sounded like personal calls 2x during her 20 minute appointment. I would not recommend him to anyone I care about. Horrible experience.
