I saw Dr. Stewart a few years ago. After some time of reflection, I've become motivated to leave a review. When I first started going to Dr. S, I had serious depression issues related to being LGBTQ. I was hesitant to see someone that wasn't part of my own community, as former professionals never seemed to understand enough, but this wasn't the case with Dr. S. I saw him for a year probably. When I ended treatment with him, I was doing better, but the reality was I just wasn't ready or able to make anymore changes. Years lat... read more

Dr. Stewart is a very caring, understanding and thoughtful doctor. He always listens and never interjects until you are through speaking. He explains things in a way that helps you see the light and understand. He is NEVER critical or harsh. I would highly recommend him without reservation. He has really helped me with my depression.

Horrible- he is extremely arrogant, biased, lacks insight and jumps to his own conclusions. He only complicated my problems, my pain and my suffering. It is beyond me how he could EVER be an effective therapist in assisting people in overcoming issues.

He saw my wife who had significant childhood trauma issues. During the time she saw him, she became worse. He never once contacted me, even though he had permission to do so. He was arrogant and pretentious on the occasions I accompanied her to her visits. He fostered a dependency on him and became withholding and cold to her when she disagreed with him. I finally talked her out of continuing treatment and she is 100% better. Stay away from this arrogant “doctor.”

I have been seeing Dr. Stewart for my anxiety and depression and it has only been a handful of times that we had our sessions but I can honestly tell you that this man is beyond amazing. He is so understanding, so thoughtful, and caring. He never talks over you and never rushes his time. He takes time to listen to what the issue is and helps finds solutions for them to better yourself. Never go in thinking they are going to cure your problems because only YOU can help yourself.

Dr. Stewart has literally saved my life by helping me save my own. I have a complicated traumatic history and had been fired from several other psychologists in the past, presumably for not getting better. Nothing rattled Dr. Stewart. He never gave up; no matter how self-destructive I became, he was steady and like a rock, always there for me. If you want B.S. and platitudes and pity, go to all the other shrinks. If you want to change, this is your doctor.
