I took my 2009 H-D Road King to Don to diagnose and repair a loud banging noise that would sometimes come from the primary, mostly during a "hot" start. I initially thought the problem was a failing compensator. Don identified the issue as a failing starter clutch gear, which he replaced. At my request, he also checked the compensator and confirmed it was in good working order and didn’t need replacement. The entire job took Don one day to complete.
