Two years ago, I brought my 2014 Ford Flex in to Don Hinds Service Department with transmission problems. It had a brand new rebuilt transmission in it , but it would not shift out of first gear. They had blamed the malfunction on the software, so sent me to Ford to get it fixed. It had trouble codes indicating bad sensors inside the transmission. I took my f150 in for two items. I had a shimmy after 65 miles an hour. They diagnosed and fixed the problem with no issues. The second item was that my ABS module was faulty for the hill descent braking system. They quoted the repair and the cost was a bit steep to me. I received a second quote from a local mechanic who did the work for $1300 less plus did a full inspection on the truck for no added cost. I've called multiple times trying to get a quote on transmission service for a drain and fill of the fluid. I do not want a flush. The only advisor that called me back says the vehicle has to be flushed and you can't do a drain and fill, which is completely false. Multiple videos on YouTube showing how to do it. I would but I just don't have time with how busy my work is. This is why dealership service departments get a bad reputation.
