When choosing a doctor, there are a few important aspects about both the doctor your own situation, that should be considered. I considered those aspects...deeply. Dr. Benavidez was recommended by a long time friend. Without going into my own personal story, I'll just say that seeking a professional beyond a physical ailment, is not generally valued in the Black community. Every doctor I have ever met has had three traits in common: they are professional, rational, and mature. I consider these qualities to be essential tenets of a doctor's profession: they understand that their work impacts people's lives and they conduct themselves accordingly.
