Edit: another roof leak in less than 5 years. I even emailed them about it 2 years ago (before I knew it was a leak) and they told me it wasn't a structural issue so I'm SOL. Nice. I emailed them so I'll see how they respond. Roof had a leak within 3yrs and when I reached out, it is out of warranty! A roof should last decades, not a few years.
I had a wonderful experience building my home with Domain. The site was kept clean, they communicated consistently through the process and the construction was completed early (unheard of in most home builds). Jose Dora, my construction manager, was amazing and alway available to discuss any issue or question. Now that my house is complete I can say that the quality of construction is stellar. Thank you so much to Jose, Guy, and the entire team for giving me my dream home. Highly recommend!!!!
We used Domain to build on our lot and, while they deliver square footage per dollar, they do so by compromising quality at every stage of the process. If you can afford to use a different builder, then you should. If Domain is the only builder in your price range, include in your budget the cost of an independent inspector to monitor the construction process, and be prepared to advocate strongly for yourself when issues arise.
