Mongell Tire was founded in 1957 in Connellsville, PA by Dominic Mongell along with his father, Anthony Mongell, and brother, Paul Mongell. In 1963 a second store was opened and Dom's brother Paul started working full time at the store. In the late 1970's Paul's son Jim joined the company. 10 years later Jim's brother Brian joined the family business. This place is the absolute best around! I had a bad experience at another tire shop and needed these guys to look at some rough and unbalanced recaps I got. The young guys in the shop are SO helpful and kind, with great suggestions and concern for my safety considering what I came in with. Brian, who I’m assuming is an owner or manager, was extremely wonderful and pointed me in the right direction for what I needed, no questions or doubts about the situation I was in, and took my budget and time into consideration. The owner and staff are very friendly and accommodating. I have been buying tires here for over 30 years and Mongells always provide great products and quick service. The price is always the lowest around for top name brands.
