Went to ER about a major accident, were a saw kicked back piece of wood into stomach.Saw a doctor after this for pain/nausea, after several test, Dr. could not find a problem and said maybe problem was nerves and that the issue was in my head. Dr. Rhodes confirmed my otherwise healthy mom needed tests for a potentially life threatening problem and discussed in detail the tests and how she would do them-think C-ncer! After scheduling the tests, Dr Rhodes canceled the appts and I was told Dr. Bright would not see my mom either. Dr. Rhodes said "your mom has Ki_ney Disease and if we do find something do you want to put her through anything invasive for her quality of life?" I’ve been a patient since 2019. Dr Rhodes was able to immediately diagnose a rare autoimmune disorder, calmly answering all my questions. The visits aren’t rushed and her communication style is courteous and to the point. I’ve sent questions on the patient portal and Doc usually answers by close of business. Dr. Rhodes is the best GI I could ask for. She is direct and to the point and I could not have asked for much more.
She does not have the best reputation, but I did not find that to be warranted at all. She could work on her bedside manner, but it did get better after a few visits. She is ex-military, so there's that. I felt as if she was knowledgeable and helped me figure out some lingering questions. I appreciate her service. The office staff was equally nice, friendly and responsive.
This doctors office is ridiculous. They never NEVER answer their phones. The women that work behind the desk, albeit friendly, must be the laziest people on the planet. Even our pharmacist said that when she was going to contact them, she warned me that it could be days before they responded to her. Although Dr. Bright, in this same practice, is very competent, I still would look to another practice. Just awful.
Had a 2nd procedure with this doctor and she was very professional. Bedside manner was friendly. Most of all she was informative at both the office visit and before and after the procedure.
Very thorough, listens and understands patients questions and answer them with common sense. Has superior experience and is extremely proficient.
