I made the mistake of renting through a 3rd party (Priceline), so when I had trouble with my invoice the Thrifty rep said I had to go directly to Priceline and they could not help me. It took me almost an hour to get through to someone. I was really disappointed that they would not help. I am a senior with very little tech knowledge and I had my mentally handicapped senior sister with me, so it was extremely frustrating. I called tonight 8/18 around 9:1pm attempting to make a car reservation because online it’s showing as 14 cars available but apparently they did not have any cars. The woman who answered the phone had me on hold for 15 minutes before answering the call. She was RUDE and after waiting 15 minutes on hold — she hung up on me. Will NOT be using them. Nice car, good mileage.
I called and asked if I needed anything specific to rent a car. I asked if I purchased their collision and liability with their still be a deposit. I was told no. I was told if I am not a South Carolina resident I do not need nothing specific or any deposits. Not only did they try to charge me a deposit, but they refused to rent me a car even with their premium insurance package, to carry my personal insurance collision and liability. I do not have collision so they refuse to rent me the car
Had a great experience. Car was ready. Only 1 person in line before me but there were two employees so I didn’t have to wait. Car smelled fine and worked great. I did the “surprise me” option instead of picking a car since it was just for me and I didn’t have passengers and it worked out great and saved me money. It was a standard size car - can’t remember the type at the moment.
