I received the BC better homes government grant for my heat pump that Rick at Dolan’s told me about. I got a great quote from him also. Compared to the other three quotes I got, their quote was way less. The crew was awesome but I have to give a shout out to one in particular. Gave me a quote $7878.00 higher than Home Depot for the purchase and installation of Trane XV18 variable speed heat pump. This quote did not even include the $800 thermostat that goes with it while Home Depot's quote did include the thermostat so over $8000.00 difference. Then they billed me $336.00 for simple service call to diagnose failed start and run capacitors and check refrigerant pressure.
DO NOT use this business! BEWARE of their FALSE ADVERTISING on their website that offers a "FREE IN-HOME CONSULTATION". I called this business to book their free in-home consultation to assess a fireplace that was not working. The technician came by and said that the problem would not be fixed until I replaced the entire fireplace. The company then phoned to me to let me know that the components had to be specially ordered and would cost upwards of $3000. Dolans did an amazing job installing my heat pump and organizing with electricians for 200amp upgrade amd heat pump hot water tank. They were very friendly, easy to reach by phone, and made the whole process really straightforward. Thank you!!
