I expected more – I got a chicken udon dish. It was bland, i needed to add a cup of soysauce. The vegetables were fresh and crunchy but the chicken was fatty dark meat. Not very tasty and very no-frills.

Editorial Review by Citysearch Editor – Dirt-cheap vegetarian joint draws in more NYU students than a Jack Johnson concert.

salubriously cheap – My friend and I decided to catch Dojo partly because of its popularity, but mainly for its prices. They have an extensive menu which would satisfy any palate and picky eaters' cravings. I ordered the humus sandwich and a side of frnech fries. The pita was fresh as were the vegetables. The french were thin and crunchy and the portions were huge. My friend, the "picky-eater" put together her own entree from the sides menu which was cheap and convenient. She ordered chicken breast and broccoli. The chicken ... read more

Dojo West Dojo is what you call a cool hip restaurant. And what's best is that it's for everyone! There are some very delicious veggie dishes, but the meat lover will be deeply satisfied! The prices are relatively low to the other places in the area. They serve breakfast until 5pm. I had dish that included two eggs, steak, fries (the potato shaped kind), and bread for 4.95. I was full and satisfied. I really liked those eggs (sunny-side-up. They don't call them eggs benedict)Service can be smashing! This Dojo is situated at ... read more

Healthy and Cheap Eats I love Dojo's, especially the location on West 4th. The service is great, and the food is even greater. It's a great spot to meet up with friends on a lazy afternoon to catch up with each other while enjoying a healthy meal.

Best bang for the old school veggie buck. – Along with everyone else, I've been going to Dojo's (West) for years. It was one of my first vegetarian havens, and it was also mighty cheap (depending on the order). My favorites are the yakisoba vegetable (with tofu added in) and the hijiki tofu salad. Sometimes the wait staff is nice, sometimes it ain't; but it's always pretty low-key, and the food comes quickly.

Excellent Value, Varying Above Average Food – An excellent place to go for cheap food, relatively little wait, and decent service. The food varies in quality and "tastiness", but not the place to go if your feeling especially particular anyway. Check it out sometime if you are looking for quick, cheap eats, and an interesting and wide ranging menu.

tasty and cheap if you're a vegetarian, or just enjoy the occassional tasty healty meal, this is the place to go. Their service is really slow, but it's a small price to pay (literally). You can get a meal that will fill you up for around $6, and they have a nice selection of japanese dishes on their menu. Great village location, and amazing tahini dressing.

Dojo's the best Place For a Cheap Eat – I go to this Dojo's all the time. For the price you pay, you cant get any better. The food is good (not great), and you pay about $6 a plate (that's about the same as a MCDonalds value meal). The appetizers are crazy cheap too, ranging from $2-$5. I always get the dojo dip with pita bread (tofu), and its like $3, and can serve 2 people. Definitely check it out if you want cheap good food. It gets pretty crowded and the service is not so great, but its still a great deal
