Specialties: A fun idea that appeals to the inner artist in us all! Great for making unique gifts, birthday parties for all ages or just having a relaxing time designing your one of a kind ceramic. We are always BYOB, so grab your friends and a bottle of wine and come on by! Established in 1996. Doin' Dishes has been part of the Montclair community for years. It is currently on its' third set of owners and with that comes new pieces, colors and techniques.

A fantastic local "paint your own" experience! Doin' Dishes is a great place for a family activity, a creative date, or a group of friends looking for something different. There's always seasonally appropriate pieces to choose from and the store is clean and tastefully decorated. The staff are wonderful and the pieces always come out looking beautiful. My family has a cheese plate that we painted at Doin' Dishes in 2008 and it’s still vibrant in color.
Went for a good friend's bday get-together. Couldn't stay long I had an emergency. But it's a quaint place, and they have plenty of pottery to choose from to create on. The employees seem nice and as if they will try their best to accommodate you. I will return when I'm able to invest in the creation and my time isn't limited. But the birthday girl said she had a wonderful experience.

I have mixed feelings about my experience PROS - Many color options - A ‘color wall’ that shows how the colors will look after the piece has been processed - Refills on paint don’t cost extra (which is nice when you’re using one color to cover the majority of the piece) - Convenience of having all the materials in one place and not needing to buy them all - Extremely friendly service and great explanations for the process!
