Horrible Customer Service. Over Charge – To make a very horrible long story short.....
I took my animal to get spayed after I called and they gave me a reasonable price over the phone a few days before. The staff was very nice when I dropped her off...
The next day I arrived to pick her up and they told me my bill was almost $400! After a spay and one shot was estimated before to be a little over $100. They have one set price for a spay/neuter and charge you about an extra $25 for all me materials used. I thought that would be included in the spay? The cost of the spay was also twice as much that I was told over the phone. What was I paying $125 for if they charge extra for tubing, catheter, etc...?!? OUTRAGEOUS! Then we went in the back to discuss the bill and she attacked us and told me to stop talking when I was trying to understand charges.
They charged us for things that didnt need and were not asked to be done then make us feel like we were stupid for our concern in being charged for it. Do not go to this place!!!!

Horribly Expensive and Rude! – I have a large dog, (English Mastiff) so I already expect to have to pay a decent amount of money for shots and getting him neutered, especially since getting him fixed has to do with his weight. They told me that is was going to cost over four hundred dollars to get him fixed which is more then double what most places have told me. His shots were going to be around 150 and up. then they told me he had a severe respiratory infection when they heard him snoring. I tried to explain to them that Mastiff's are prone to snoring, it's in their breed, but they didn't care. Once this was over with the vet, I had to speak with the receptionist who was unbelievable. She tried to make me feel guilty for my dog snoring. SNORING! What kind of person tried to make another individual feel guilty about something the breed does naturally? That would be like her telling me 'How dare you let him grow that big!'. It's ridiculous and I hope no one tries to go there. Trust me, it's not worth it.

Best Animal Hospital! – Have been going to dogwood animal hospital for 2 years. The facility is impressive, the staff is very friendly
and the care I received for my "furry-children" is exceptional. Being in the military we have lived in many
places and no other Animal Hospital has given us the same level of service.

Terrible!!!! Find another place to board. – This place looked promising and when we dropped our Boxer off everybody was very nice. When we came back after 6 days ALMOST everybody was still nice. One or two of the girls working were very rude. When we got our dog back I was a little shocked. He looked like he hadn't eaten all week, which is not their fault. I'm sure it was because he was somwhere new. But his front elbows were rubbed raw, his top lip was rubbed raw. It looked like they dragged our dog across the sidewalk. They gave him a bath right before we picked him up but I'm pretty sure the only washed the top of his back. His belly, feet and head we're filthy. Their website says that they are "deeply committed to the health and well-being of your pet" But I wonuldn't leave our dog with them again. We sould have read the reviews. . Do your homework and go somewhere else

Be prepared to pay... – Don't get me wrong, this is not a bad place. It is a wonderful looking building and appears to be very well kept. However, I have been taking my pets there for years. Anytime I take them in for something small, as in simple shots or boarding, it ends up costing me hundreds and hundreds of dollars in the end. They always seem to find an issue to treat and charge for. Almost like an auto-mechanic. Recently, I dropped off my pet for 2 days of boarding and they found a skin problem that cost me $500. After all of the medications, the condition has not changed. When I was picking up my pet, another couple was in tears as they found out their cats bladder infection was going to set them back $450. They don't accept payments either, you have to pay it all upfront.

if I could give negative stars – I was appauled by the customer interaction at this vet. First, we went in to get heartworm and flea treatment for my dogs. The receptionist was extreemly rude and told my boyfriend that, "If I loved my dogs I would bring them in more often than once every 4 years." This is not my primary vet and I'd only used them in emergency. I waited a couple of weeks and it really bothered me because these people deal with very emotional situations. I went in and spoke with the office manager today and she couldn't let me leave without a personal attack either. I mentioned that I was in customer service, as is my boyfriend and couldn't believe how we'd been treated. Her response was, "I find it hard to believe you're in customer service."
I'm amazed! Absolutely amazed that not only were we treated poorly once but when I went back I was again personally attacked by the people that work there.
