Our super high-energy dog absolutely loves going to Dogtopia. He is much calmer and we are all happier and better off at the end of the day when he has spent the day with his doggie friends at Dogtopia. The staff are super friendly and loving to the dogs and they take a personal interest.
Two of our dogs were in daycare for the day yesterday and we received a text from the facility around 11AM that one of our dogs was injured (superficial cut above his eye) by another dog. We were told that our dog was fine and that he was separated from the play area and treated with some antiseptic, all was fine. When I went to pick him up at around 5 PM that day I saw his cut and then looked at his eye, and his cornea was red as blood. We had our dog do an overnight weekend stay at this location, and our pup ending up getting injured and needed a vet visit at around $400. While injuries do happen, the employees did not contact us until we picked up our pup up as they had gotten our dog mixed up with another and contacted the incorrect pet parent. All employees and managers admitted fault, but when asked to be compensated for the stay (not the vet visit) due to this incident, we were rejected time and time again. When you call them, you get a robot answering machine, that then routes you to a non-USA call center that has no clue what the store has available, who then routes you back to the store… only to be hung up on by the store and sent to an answering service. No live person from the store ever answered. Keep in mind I’m a customer who’s got money, wanted pet grooming/stay and literally was wanting them to take it. Our pup loves Dogtopia of Gainesville!! She tends to be an anxious dog and the staff were so great with her. She would go to doggie daycare every week and grew more comfortable each time. Could not recommend enough
