Another Lafayette Tradition! Although I now live out of state, I have to go to Dog-N-Suds when I visit my mom in Lafayette. It's a tradition to pick her up and go there for lunch the first day, but it's a tough choice as to what to get: the breaded tenderloin or the hot dog with mustard, relish, and onion! And although diet root beer is available, for a few times a year that I'm there, I get the "real thing"; in a frosty mug, of course!
The original and greatest Lafayette wouldn't be the same without Dog-N-Suds. Even though I'm a vegetarian now and can't eat most of what's on the menu, the root beer and root beer freezes are the best. The new West Side location is great too!
