Our family stay at “Doctor’s Orders” Beach House in Destin was absolutely wonderful. The house is beautiful…with large rooms, an enormous and comfortable living room for family and friends to gather, incredible views of the lake which touches the back yard, and a beautiful staircase which makes for gorgeous photos. Our family of 9 had a FANTASTIC week at this house. Plenty of space for everyone, great kitchen for family meals, great proximity to beach, and a wonderful neighborhood with 2 great pools. Ken and Franni were wonderful hosts and we can’t wait to go back next summer.
A beautiful home in a lovely, gated neighborhood. Very accessible to beach and Crab Trap. A lot to do for adult kids (as well as littles)- great beach area, bars/restaurants. Would definitely return!
The house is beautiful, but there were several issues while we stayed for a week. One of the biggest problems was we reported a gas leak with the range on a Tuesday and it still wasn't fixed by the time we left on Saturday. This greatly impacted our ability to cook meals for ourselves. We had to call for more towels and bedding. Even though they only allowed 1 towel and washcloth per person for the whole week, we were still short. Fortunately, they responded the same day and brought more over. Doctor’s Orders was the perfect home for our large family vacation. With a main home and adjacent small house, we had plenty of room for everyone. The neighborhood is quiet and quaint. The house is stocked with everything you could possibly need for cooking, relaxing, entertaining, going to the beach, and traveling around the area. The beach and shops are so close, and the two golf carts meant we could all hop on and ride around the town.
