Overall, my hospital visit was very good—with one exception. The anesthesiologist attempted to place an arterial line in my wrist, which is a particularly painful procedure. She tried three times without success before finally deciding to use the handheld ultrasound device that had been available from the start. I went twice to get a procedure done. One time they were unable to do the procedure because of equipment problems. I had to come back again to do the procedure and this time it went smoothly.
