Lazy and a liar. My truck had a misfire, took it here for a diagnosis. I was told he switched coil packs and misfire stayed on same cylinder. I had a feeling to check the spark plug after I picked it up (yes I should have done that before taking it up there but that’s a different story). So I did and found that the spark plug wire was shot. If he switched the coil pack then he would have noticed the wire was no good, especially if he claims to be the mechanic he says he is. Exceptional experience at Doc's Garage. Scott accurately diagnosed my failing rear differential and gave me honest, no-pressure advice about repairing a high-mileage truck. He even tracked down a used replacement part in Texas and had it shipped to the shop. The truck runs great now, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Honest, knowledgeable, and dependable service—I highly recommend Doc's Garage and will definitely be back.
I trust Doc's Garage with all my vehicles. We get our annual car inspection done here. Also when looking at buying a used car we take it to Doc's to check it out. Scott and his team do a great job doing repairs on our older vehicles, and do not recommend unnecessary work like other repair shops in the area. I took my car elsewhere to get an a oil change twice - both repair shops came up with unnecessary repairs amounting to $3K or $4K. Doc's had me do tires and maybe brakes.
