Egg Harbor-Modern Wooded Retreat Had the best time celebrating my birthday at this little gem in the woods. It was the perfect cozy getaway for my husband and I. Nestled in the woods with plenty of natural light. It had a pellet stove which made the cabin warm and cozy. We stayed at the Ellison Bay Retreat Hot Tub & Theater. The photos of this home looked beautiful and immaculate, unfortunately the home was not as pictured & a such a disappointment. We have been visiting Door County for 10+ years in fall and have never experienced such a filthy vacation rental. This home is in need of a major over haul, deep clean and thorough inspection. Great place. Super location. Modern, quiet, short walk to downtown Egg Harbor. Nice to have a leaving area and kitchen area. Fantastic place to stay. We'll definitely be back.
The units exceeded our ecxpectations. They were clean, well equipped and comfortable. One of our guests has some mobility issues and the design of the space facilitated easy movement both into and within the apartment. The heating/ cooling worked well and instructions of how to use services well documented. The location was excellent. We happen to have selected the weekend of the fall celebration in town and could walk the short 2 blocks over to the venders and restaurants.
