Dealing with Spencer has been a real pleasure. Have to admit it hasn’t been the easiest of installs but Spencer was quick to advise that they will make sure everything ends will end well. What more can you ask! They have two versions of remotes and the choice is hard. I went for the twist because it seemed more advanced and the capability to walk the boat ‘sideways’. My entire experience with Dockmate Has been positive. This company jumped through hoops to get the system installed before my spring 2025 northbound trip. It was installed by Captain Dave out of the South Florida area who couldn’t have been better. I got to work with and learn the system over 2000 miles between Stuart, Florida and Rochester, New York. Great product! I have a Carver 46 MY and with the use of my Dockmate remote, docking and going through locks is easy. I was comfortable using the remote soon after getting the post installation training. Dockmate can be tuned for each boat configuration and driver style, so the remove reponds just like the sticks and thruster switches. Installation time on my Carver 46 MY was about 4 hours.
