ANSWER TO DOCKMATES REPLY Several untrue statements from Dockmates reply: 1. My boat was **not** custom or unusually configured boat. It was delivered that way from the factory. Nothing was modified prior to the Dockmate install. If the configuration affected compatibility or maneuvering, that should have been identified by Dockmate before representing that the system was fully compatible with my boat. 2. Purchased a new 2024 38' Fountain with triple Mercury 400R outboards. I wanted joystick control, and after some online research, I contacted Dockmate, who promised full compatibility with my boat and setup. #1 - Bad Dockmate unit out of box on day 1. Kept blowing engine fuses on a brand new boat. Wouldn't send installer new one until I insisted. New unit next day worked fine. #2 - Boat won't walk sideways. I recently had Dockmate installed on my Sea Ray Sundancer 400, and the experience has been fantastic from start to finish. The remote docking system itself has made close-quarters maneuvering so much easier and less stressful a huge upgrade for solo or short-handed docking. What really stood out, though, was the installation and support from Mike.
