Great slow smoked BBQ .. Ribs Brisket Chicken and all the sides including handmade French fries ... Nothing fast food about Docs ... They do it all and they cater!
great place to eat!! – this is a great place to eat the food is beyond supurb!! I ate there for the first time a few months back and was treated by the cook and server as I came home. I highly recommend this place to anyone!!
Best slow cooked BBQ in Tuolumne County – I had the fortune of stopping in to try out Doc's Texas BBQ recently. I must say that I'm highly impressed. It's not a 4-star restaurant by any stretch, but I'll be damned it it isn't one of the best places I've eaten at in sometime. Between the food and the friendly nature of the proprietor, Doc, I'd have to recommend this to anyone heading up 108 into the foothills. If you get the chance stop in and give the tri-tip a try!
Don't eat there – Worst BBQ I've ever had. The chicken was RAW & the hamburgers were dry. I won't eat there every again
Yummy and affordable! – The food here is really good and not too expensive. Definitely worth trying out. It's right across the street from the Mother Lode Fairgrounds
This liitle joint is a real find!!!! – I'm an Arkansas girl who spent plenty of time in Texas and Doc's is great Texas BBQ!!! I had the smoked brisket plate. It was great! My husband said the hand packed Gutbuster burger was the best he ever ate. We are hooked!!!
