We are a private, independent optometry practice owned by Dr. Amy Thomas and Dr. Lawson Spruiell. We provide comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, and urgent eye care. We also have a large inventory of glasses and sunglasses available for purchase including many of the brand names you know and love. We offer direct billing for most insurances for eye exams as well as prescription eyewear. We are accepting new patients!

Dr. Lawson is such an amazing person. He explained me everything so precisely and perfectly. My eye examination was done accurately.Also the staff was super friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place. If you have anything related to the eyes. Run to this place.

I had excellent service and a faster than expected turn-around time getting new lenses in old frames. I was helped by a great tech person, who replaced the nose pieces on a pair of old glasses to wear during the wait and kept me updated on the arrival time of the new lenses. Thank you so much!
Excellent service. Dr. Lawson is an exceptional professional who showed a lot of patience and flexibility in working with us to check our 3 yr old's eye sight. She had trouble cooperating given a traumatic past experience with another Dr. At Doc Optical, she received excellent care and Dr. Lawson went above and beyond to help our lil one feel comfortable by letting us just drop in for a quick chat on several occasions to help familiarize her and shed her inhibitions until she was comfortable enough to be sufficiently coopera... read more
I had no idea what to expect for my first eye doctor appointment. The staff was very helpful, nice and professional. The direct billing was smooth and flawless. Dr. Amy was great! She was knowledgeable, extremely kind, and put me at ease immediately. I wish that more doctors, and people in general, were like her. Highly recommend!
