It's a popular place for picnicking and a starting point for hiking many trails on the east side of the Sandia mountain range. This facility is popular, but it's well maintained and kept clean. It is a pay to park facility costing five dollars for the day. There is no overnight camping or parking in this facility. You can use your enchantment pass at this facility. There are also shade structures with picnic tables to rent for large parties or special events.
Nice little get out of the city time. And it's only about 30 minutes from Albuquerque
I had my baby shower here. It was nice, the area was clean and beautiful scenery. The only complaint was the bathrooms.
We had a picnic at this place on memorial day 2025. Reserved the AREB, spacious for picnic. We were 30 people and we had a great time.
