went to dobbs to have my radiator leak looked at and that was the only problem i had and when they called me and said that i was looking at 650 dollars for a radiator leak repair because the thermasthat was on the manifold and they would have to take it off the whole manifold. so i told them i would arrange for it to be done on a later date,upon departing the location i went to turn my heater on and all i had was cold air coming out of my vents wheich was not a problem .went to another mechanic and he said they got air in yo... read more

They attempted to sell me an unneeded tire because it was not one of theirs. They, via gramatical trickery, convinced me to leave the tires as is. On 10.29.13 I took my car to the Wentzville, MO location to have the tires rotated and balanced. They refused to do it by claiming that one of the tires, which was not a brand that Dobbs carries, had a bad belt. Do not take your vehicle here. They Damaged 2 of my wheels and at first agreed to fix and then backed out of it and tried to say they did not do it. It was obvious they caused the damge and the manager even brought out the rubber piece that did the damage and we were able to line it up exactly to where the damage occured. However he tried to claim that a rubber piece would not be able to rub a clear coat off a wheel (this was after he used a rubbing compound to take the black rubber that it left on my wheel off). These guys went into my dash to try and fix a light that was stuck on, and messed up my stereo. When I explained what happened, the manager said "there was a thunderstorm last night and sometimes the lightening can mess up your radio". LOL worst business I've ever dealt with.

When I picked up my car after having a very expensive complete brake replacement, the car battery was dead. They jumped it and I took the car. I had to take a trip. The car was dead when I got back. I took the car back to Dobbs only to be slapped with a $107.83 bill to replace the switch that turns off the brake lights under the brake pedal. It worked before I took it but was broken when I got it back. I feel that they broke it while making repairs. Go elsewhere, they apparently don't care about customer serv – On my recommendation to get his tires at Dobbs my 80 year old father has had to return several times to due to balance issues. My father is a retired GM employee and he has never had to return to a tire place so many times due to poor service. My father is a very nice guy who doesn't like to rock the boat so this last time that we returned his vehicle due to balance I spoke with the manager "Pat". shady & will rip you off. – this place is shady & you need to compare prices after seeing these folks or they'll just rip you off. the service was ok.. they'll tell you off if your car isn't up to par though.
