I had gotten the Jerk Chicken tacos at Eastern State Florida College for their food truck. I was expecting plain, normal tacos per say but oh my goodness they are delicious! Whoever made those today deserves a raise because I am IMPRESSED. I would have never had thought to flavor the taco meat with pineapples and mangos. I will definitely be doing that at home now, and will definitely be coming back! I hope to see more options as I see the main restaurant has a lot of options as well! Thank you for fueling my belly!!!
Best jerk chicken tacos in Florida Nobody does it better
I was at their food truck location at EFSC, Melbourne. Warm, Caribbean greeting from the moment you walk up to the food truck. I ordered the griot and plantains lunch special and it did not disappoint (for the second time). Griot was flavorful, juicy, and tasty. Fried plantains were crisp, yet buttery. Lunch was paired with a side salad which was garnished with a delicious creamy dressing. Overall well worth the wait.
I was told it would only take 10-15 minutes to prepare my order but it was closer to a half hour which is a long time for a food truck. I got the jerk shrimp tacos and conch fritters. The tacos were good but not spicy like he had said they were. The conch fritters were just ok. I also got 2 containers of the rice which was interesting, but not something I'd want again. I should have just got one container instead of the 2 as it is a good amount. All-in-all I was out $50 and I think it was too much for what I got.
I heard that DNA Floribbean food truck was parked near my office, so I popped over to check it out today. I am so happy that I did. I ordered the jerk chicken tacos lunch special. It was delicious! The service was quick and the owners were so friendly. I will most definitely order from them again! So good! 😋
