I hired DMV renovations to do a major project. The company is very dishonest and I must share my experience with people so that no one else is mishandled like I was. I failed many city inspections because of DMV renovations. They don’t use licensed people to work on homes. This company has no regard for the neighborhood that they work in. They have been remodeling a local home for the better part of one year. It has looked trashy from day one. They bring in trucks from other worksites and overfill the dumpsters, leaving them that way for weeks while everything blows all over the neighborhood. I have had to replace two tires in the last six months because of nail punctures, which I don't think is simply a coincidence. DMV performed a repair to our outdoor balcony using cheap materials designed for indoor use in 2021. In 2023, the balcony repair failed and caused leakage in our dining room, a damaged, unsafe balcony floor with lifting tiles and damage to the side of our house from adhesive that dripped all over because it was not heat resistant. DMV did nothing to fix the problem for 5 months. DMV did an excellent job on our bathroom remodel. We had contracted with an online design company who hired DMV and the design company screwed things up from beginning to end. I think the project ended up taking about 10 months (for one small bathroom). But DMV really went above and beyond to get the job completed, and they've come back to fix some small problems we've had afterwards. TLDR: If you work with Estiven as your project/construction manager and can stay on top of the job, you'll be happy with the result. Estiven is a real asset to DMV and his hard work (and his construction team's work) earned DMV the overall 5 star rating for our job.
