Apartment was nice and rent was decent, but I emailed and called the company over a dozen times about a variety of things while we rented and only ever got one response. They tried to charge me for rent twice on one occasion after I had already proved that the payment went through, and my lot literally NEVER had parking. There’s a reason people say don’t rent through DLK. Unfortunately, the monopolistic set up of college town rental enterprises might lead to you caving and renting through DLK. For the standards of conditions, it’s about what you’d expect for college rentals. It’s not great but it’ll do. Some places are in a decent condition, some have mold, and a lot are outdated when it comes to appliances and interiors. Worst apartment I’ve ever had. We’ve had packages stolen, cars with no permits constantly filling the parking lots, and neighbors who play music 24/7 to the point it vibrates the Whole apartment.

I just had a ground breaking thought: What is the point of having a parking sticker for a lot that is right next to our units? Register our cars to the property managers (which we already do) then any car that isn't suppose to be there gets taken. Then they would more then likely save 1000's by not printing stickers, then again they would lose money not towing paying customers cars. I have never taken a business class in my life. I’ve rented 2 different units from them and they are the absolute worst to rent from. They have so many issues and create so many problems. They will show your unit but not even give an exact date and just tell you they will be entering sometime that week. When transferring apartments they forgot that I was transferring and tried to charge me for a late stay. When moving into the second apartment there was actual snot on the wall, sticky floors, half the lights don’t work, and the bathroom reeks of mold. They DO NOT care. Do... read more
