Worst food I've had in a while. The Mongolian beef was greasy and tasteless. If I had bread and cheese, it would have made a great Philly cheese steak. The fried rice wasn't much better. I added soy sauce and that's all I could taste. I don't know how this place has any customers at all.
Very good hospitality, the Mongolian beef is yummy and savory and the soup was super good. Was very nice and friendly service
You can't top Dj's Chinese Cuisine in Larkspur. The lunch specials are indeed a good value for a Marin restaurant, and I'm all about disorganization. Plus, Joanne's been serving up plates and sass as the resident waitress mama for decades. She's like Flo from the 1970s sitcom Alice, minus the English - or rather, she's saying it all in Chinese. Funny, tough exterior, gem of a person once you get to know her.
I absolutely love this place and the food keeps getting better and better even thoughbit is atvthe top already! The setting outside is beautiful and a treat in this area. We started going there on the recommandations of a gourmet friend 40 years ago when it wa Cj's... when Cj's retired his son or daughter took the lead and now it's the granddaughter running the place with skills and grace. Did the dinner special for all 4 of our group. We left feeling like we had a full experience with full bellies. Loved every moment of it We liked the kung pao chicken, mongolian beef, and complimentary tea. Though we found the sweet and sour pork and manchurian beef we could have done without.
