I had an excellent experience working with Rodney on my semi-DIY install. He meticulously designed the whole system (6.44 kW w/ battery) for me, connected me with a reliable installer, ordered equipment, and even helped me get through the permitting and PG&E NEM (PTO) processes. He stuck with me throughout the delays and various problems, and made me feel confident that everything will work out in the end. Rodney Keen at DIY Solar Planning is great to work with for solar roof design. From start to finish, he made my rooftop solar project seamless, affordable, and stress-free. His design fee was incredibly reasonable, even with multiple redesigns (not from Rodney’s work) - we went from no batteries, to adding them, back to no batteries, plus extra rework due to shifting PG&E and City requirements. DYI SOLAR and Rodney ARE the best company and personalities for the individuals wanting to build their own solar systems. For more than a year, I entertained companies and sales people are coming to the house to determine which route would be the best way to get my projects completed.
