My four old grand son and I planted our onions today. The plants looked very good and healthy. My helper asked "Pop do you think they are going to grow big?" I told him that the man at Dixondale farms said they will if we take good care of them. An afternoon with my grand son planting your onions "Priceless"

I have ordered Texas Legend onions from Dixondale for two years. Both times, my order was delivered several days before I expected it. Last year, I lost a few that didn't survive (too small) and may lose a few this year due to cold weather, which is normal. Next year, I will probably plant 2 bunches so I will have enough to give to friends.

Ordered onions from dixondale last year, about this time. Planted the plants we received and then got a very late hard freeze that killed back a lot of our plants. The onions that remained grew great! We canned some, ate a lot and have had some that have stored in our storage for 6+ months. Am about to place our order for this year, but with a great lesson learned about planting and protecting them till spring is sprung.
