In October of 2020 I brought my boat to Dixie Trolling Motors to have them mount my new to me trolling motor (valued at about $800) on my boat. I paid $375 for parts and labor, and they had it done in less than a week. Everything seemed fine when I took it out the first time. The very next time I took my boat out, no more than a week after having the work done the trolling motor broke off the bow of my boat.
