Food is above average, staff is typically trying their best, but their seating process and waiting area is stuck in 1980. In the 100 degree heat there’s no where to wait inside without being in the way, and they don’t have a very simple text service like nearly all restaurants do in this century. So you’re stuck in the heat waiting outside, in the way inside, but if you want to wait in your car or visit a neighboring business while you wait, they have no way to reach you. Use a text system which cost very little per month.
We've been coming here for years. The price was always fair because they gave decent portions. I've always ordered the same thing (2 Egg Combo with bacon and pancake). It's been a couple months since the last time we've eaten there, and the pancakes used to be the size of a large plate, and potatoes used to cover almost half the plate. We wanted to try this restaurant earlier this morning and left after we got seated. I don’t do bugs, especially German cockroaches. My husband saw one that was still alive & on its back on the floor right across from the table we sat at. It would be good to address this because I’m not sure if there is an infestation in this restaurant. I only saw the one and we were done. I can’t speak for the food.
I got the brisket hash with 2 eggs over medium and a biscuit. Also grabbed a side of sausage grave and a vanilla latte. I was actually pleasantly surprised with all of it. It is hard to find a home made Hash, and aside from being a little light on the salt, this one did not disappoint. The same with the sausage gravy. It was not pasty and had actual sausage flavor and plenty of meat. My favorite part would absolutely have to be the biscuit.It was light fluffy and delicious.
