I had to sadly have one of my two chickens put down, and I brought her body to the Division of Animal Health for testing. Despite not being a commercial farmer - this was my pet - everyone was very empathetic and helpful. In particular, pathologist Dr. Craig Sarver was amazing. Took me back into a room to go over the process, was so kind, informative and reassuring.
