Our kid liked the psychologist but I’m not sure how much they actually got out of it. Two stars for abruptly dumping us via the receptionist who informed us that in 2026 the psychologist has bumped our appointments from a consistent weekday after school to alternating weekend and weekdays, neither which worked due to extracurriculars and being during school hours. Very switched on new psychologist Karen Gould has gone out of her way to coordinate my daughter’s complex functional seizure disorder. Karen has emailed my daughter’s neurologist, neurosurgeon and GP and recommended a new treatment specifically for non epileptic seizures which are notoriously hard to treat. I'm using a pseudonym. I went to Diverse Minds for my son to get psychotherapy (he's already getting speech therapy and OT), but they did a quick assessment of my child and then immediately recommended him to somewhere else for intense 40 hours a week ABA. They also said his neutral idiosyncrasies needed to be "fixed" by ABA. What child with autism doesn't have idiosyncrasies?
