Erika was a wonderful host and teacher! She was great about addressing fears, misconceptions, and providing insightful information about what to expect. She has experience both in hospital settings and home birth and could answer any of our questions. I loved how included my partner was in all of her activities and lessons, because he learned so much. She provided a great space for us to build a small community of new families and I am so grateful for her class! Thank you Erika!
Erika's course is expertly crafted to provide both the practical information we needed as well as facilitate the creation of the foundation for my partner and my teamwork during birth (and after). During pregnancy I (being the father) often get the impression I'm a second-class citizen regarding birth, but Erika facilitated an equal approach to the process. Lots of growth, wisdom, and even some magic :)
Dive into Birth is a beautiful and thoughtful way to explore all aspects of the birth process, from medical/scientific to emotional. It is also worth noting that while several useful pain coping techniques are taught, the course does address both medicated and unmedicated births. Erika is a wonderful person and facilitates a warm and engaging classroom for all. I would recommend this class to any first time parents.
We did a weekend birthing class with Erika and couldn't recommend it enough to first time parents. Erika is truly gifted in not only sharing the "information" you need for birth, but helping you to connect on a deeper level to yourself, your partner, and future baby. It really makes a difference to take this class in person! My husband and I left feeling so full and excited about the new tools we have to support each other on our journeys into parenthood. Much love to Erika!! She's the best!
Erika's Birthing from Within class changed the whole trajectory of our pregnancy .... cannot recommend her enough! It was like birth preparation meets new friendships meets couples therapy meets supportive community and feeling empowered all at once. Everyone who is expecting should take this wonderful weekend course with Erika!!!
