We loved it. We were surprised about how much we enjoyed it.
Wonderful experience... great history of the people of the area of Fairbanks on the Tenana and Chena Rivers and what they have had to do and continue to do to survive in the environment! Insights regarding aviation, dog sledding, the Iditarod, fishing and food preparation and survival at the Chena Village. Great history of the riverboat captain's family and wildlife sighting of a great bald eagle, frisky caribou and cute mush puppies in training for dog sledding, as well as baby ducklings!
It is a dont miss when in Fairbanks. Well worth the cost for the information.
My family and I loved going on the Riverboat Discovery! Great for all ages!
If you like a nice leisurely boat ride with some local history built in, this is a four hour fun time!
