It is very sad to see how badly this childcare facility has gone down hill the last few years. Rita was a light in a dark place at DP. I never saw a woman so committed to her job. DP was her heart and soul. She even evolved her husband and sons with repairs, yard work anything she could do to make DP a great place. I worked at DP for 10 years under an incredible owner Cyndi and Rita was her right hand. Today I decided to do a review for Rita McAllister, who worked at Discovery Point Hamilton Mill for over 20 years and I had the joy of having her as my boss in 2021. I have had several jobs and bosses, but I still think Rita has been the best, and I don't think anyone will ever beat her. As a boss she is demanding but very human, handling with special care the compliance of the rules, without losing sight of the fact that the children are the most important thing, and our reason for being. Don’t send your children here they kicked out my 4 year old at the time for behavioral issues which and I’ve heard they done this to more kids in the past and Rita is VERY RUDE she does not need to be working there!
Both my son and stepdaughter attend Discovery Point, and I couldn’t be happier with the care they receive. The staff truly builds strong relationships with the kids, making it a welcoming and nurturing environment. You can tell they genuinely care. The kids are always excited to go, and that says a lot. I’m really grateful we found a place like this—it gives me peace of mind knowing they’re in such good hands. Highly recommend!
